Welcome to our website. To avoid all misunderstandings, please read these terms of business carefully. These terms relate to Loveabowl and our website and should be read in conjunction with the our Privacy Policy which shall also apply.

Information about us

Our trading name is ‘Loveabowl’. We are a registered food business with Brighton & Hove City Council.  Our kitchen in based in Woodingdean, East Sussex.

Order process

Sign up by filling in the ’sign me up’ section on the home page and you will receive an email every Saturday which will detail what we are going to cook for the following Friday. If you would like to order, click on the email link (within the email) and choose your delivery slot. You will then receive an email with the payment details to confirm your order.

The Loveabowl meals are set out on our website at loveabowl.co.uk

If you suffer from any food allergies, please check the ingredient list for your chosen meal for any allergens. If you are in any doubt, please do contact us BEFORE DELIVERY.

Your Loveabowl meal will be delivered in a re-usable tiffin box that will be collected with your next Loveabowl delivery or collected on the agreed day. Please ensure that it is washed and clean before collection. Storage, cooking and re-heating instructions must be followed closely. Make sure that re-heated food is piping hot throughout.

Price and Payment

Prices for our Loveabowl meals and extra dishes are quoted on our website. The prices on the website include all value added taxes (where applicable).

Payment must be made to confirm your order. Payment is currently taken by bank transfer only. You will be sent the bank account details once you have placed your order.

Delivery policy

We deliver only to addresses which are within BN1, BN2 and BN3. All orders are delivered by our couriers between 17:00 and 20:00 on Fridays. Please let us know if you’re not going to be in and we can leave it in your preferred spot.

Please be aware that by signing up you agree for your address and phone number to be passed on to our couriers. Neither they nor Loveabowl will use your personal information for anything other than the intended purpose which is to ensure your Loveabowl gets to you in time for dinner.

If you have entered alternative delivery instructions (for example “leave with a neighbour” or “leave in shed”) then this is entirely at your own risk and you will be responsible if the Loveabowl goes missing. It is agreed that anyone at the delivery address is entitled to accept delivery.

If you miss the delivery and do not leave alternative delivery instructions or message us before your allotted delivery slot, we will not leave the Loveabowl and instead take it back to our base. You will still be charged in this event.

Refunds and exchanges

If you cancel your order and are entitled to a refund, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of the day we received your valid notice of cancellation.

Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms of sale affects your statutory rights (including your right to receive a refund in respect of any defective product we sell to you).

Limitations and exclusions of liability

Nothing in the terms of sale will: (a) limit or exclude the liability of a party for death or personal injury resulting from negligence; (b) limit or exclude the liability of a party for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by that party; (c) limit or exclude any liability of a party under Section 12, 13, 14 or 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or Part I of the Consumer Protection Act 1987; (d) limit or exclude any liability of a party in any way that is not permitted under applicable law.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or series of events beyond our reasonable control.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any business losses, such as loss of or damage to profits, income, revenue, use, production, anticipated savings, business, contracts, commercial opportunities or goodwill.

Other important terms

We will treat all your personal information that we collect in connection with your order in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy; use of our website will be subject to our website terms of use.

Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

If you are a consumer, please note that these terms are governed by English law. This means a Contract for the purchase of Loveabowl through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by English law. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

Please note that each meal may contain nuts, soy, cereals, celery, mustard, lupins, sulphites, sesame seeds and other possible allergens.  Please check the label on the tiffins if you have any allergies.
